🎭 What is a Temporary Autonomous Zone (TAZ)?

A Temporary Autonomous Zone (TAZ) is a spontaneous, self-organizing space where people temporarily liberate themselves from systems of control, hierarchy, and domination.

TAZ is not about building permanent institutions but creating fleeting moments of radical freedom, where people experience direct autonomy in their actions and interactions.

TAZ exists wherever:

Authority is absent or resisted
Collaboration and mutual aid replace coercion
Creativity flourishes beyond imposed constraints
