Although there isn’t an exact English translation, ikigai is a Japanese word that means “a reason to live” or “a reason to jump out of bed in the morning.”
It emerges when four core elements align: what you love, what you’re good at, what you can be paid for, and what the world needs.

I hold a degree in Psychology and a certificate in Holistic Health Studies from San Francisco State,
as well as a Master’s in Organizational Development & Change from Sonoma State.
I’ve worked in public education in San Francisco and Marin — teaching mindfulness, conflict resolution, and restorative justice.
My most meaningful work involved bringing people together through circle process to heal disconnection and build systems of care.
I co-facilitated the Holistic Health internship at SFSU, led the Season for Nonviolence campaign, and worked with youth affected by violence and systemic injustice.

Distribution: Rstory tokens are given away to people who contribute to the project. They are also used for virtual philanthropy, given to people and organizations working in service to the public good. Beyond this, the Rstory token is sold on the open market, where it may be purchased by anyone.
Process: Adding value to the network qualifies you to receive Rstory tokens. Just add your own book or video or song or other media product to the pool of awesome content available exclusively to Rstory token holders and we'll send you a quantity of tokens proportional to your contribution. Here's the basic process:
Media or webpage is uploaded to IPFS
The address of the file is encrypted
The file location is revealed only to people who possess Rstory
The first ones to share their work in this way will be showcased here on rstory.io, though anyone is welcome to make their own site or app that integrates the token
As more people contribute to the content pool, everyone's work is shared with a wider and wider audience
